When Carlos abducted Zoe, he shot her neighbor. We never learned if he survived. Was this an accidental omission by the author? Was it something you thought about when you finished the book?

I thought about him. It was said he coded and probably wouldn’t make it, so I assumed he died.

I would have liked to know for sure what happened to him.
