Perhaps a more general discussion thread is more enticing!
I didn't like this book as much as I'd hoped... I felt that Jen gave some misguided advice. 1) the universe does not always point you in the right direction. Is she implying that homeless people are in their condition because they tried to fight God's will? Or that it IS God's will for them to live that way? Not buying it, and I think it shows her privilege to be able to shout into her network "I NEED A PLACE TO LIVE" and a mansion pops up. 2) I am a certified behavioral cognitive life coach, and I do not agree that all people need a life coach. It would be great for business if it was (and I'm sure it helps Jen's business), but it just isn't true. In fact, most people that think they need a life coach really just need a fully educated counselor. Don't waste your money. 3) She makes a lot of assumptions about the ease of getting money. I agree, be wealth conscious, think in terms of self-worth, recognize unessentials... but she gave advice at one point to live the life you want, regardless of money. Um excuse me, but if I jet set now I will lose my job.
I think life has been good to Jen, and she thus thinks it would be good to anyone- but that's not always the case.
