Crystal (infiniteink) | 87 comments What is the significance of Siddhartha's relationship with Govinda? How does it serve the story?

message 2: by Sam (new)

Sam Campbell | 35 comments I thought Govinda was used as a measuring stick to show how far Siddhartha has come since his brahmin days.

Colleen I'm not sure yet. Is it over?

Is what over?

Karen Govinda and Siddhartha's relationship? I think that's what Colleen means. I was wondering the same thing - is Govinda going to have a change of heart and return to Siddhartha's side? I only just finished Part 1 though so don't tell me!

Rob Harvey | 11 comments So far I can only see Govinda as providing a contrast to Siddhartha. Like the others I need to see how it ends.

Alana (alanasbooks) | 208 comments I'm only at part one, but it's hard to see him as a contrast at this point, since they are so similar. But maybe when they meet again (as I assume they will?) near the end, the differences will seem more apparent?
