After Jessamine’s betrayal is discovered, she’s sentenced to the Silent City. Is this a just punishment? Why is she so frightened by the idea?

In my opinion this is what she deserved, like anyone else who betrays their own. The Shadowhunters have strict rules that allow them to do what they do. I believe she was so frightened by it because of her vanity.

I think she got off easy. People died because of her duplicity.
