Gideon Lightwood doesn’t share his father’s views of right and wrong, which is why he left and joined the Institute in Madrid. Can he be trusted? Do you think he will change Gabriel’s mind and behavior?

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I do trust Gideon. He helped Charlotte out even though it meant going against his father. Gabriel is a lost cause. He still believes in his dad even through everything that has happened. I don't see him changing unless his dad turn against him.

Ditto what you said, Melissa. Gabriel seems to be a carbon copy of his father. It would take a lot to change him.

I also trust Gideon as I don’t know of any other motivations to make him be duplicitous at this stage. He left his family because of their treacherous ways of thinking. And, I think his feelings towards Sophie are genuine.

Jessika (jessika_56) I like Gideon as well. I think he will play an important role, seeing how we already know from TMI that the Lightwood's family line is redeemed. You gotta believe that isn't through Benedict Lightwood.

That’s a great point, Jessika.
