Do you think the aliens are real or not?

Ok, I know this isn't really how GR discussions work nowadays (seems to be all book clubs, so I'm not overly optimistic about responses to this post) BUT I'm curious as to your guys' thoughts about if the aliens are real or some kind of coping mechanism/hallucination on Henry's part? I haven't made up my mind and keep flip-flopping (maybe that's the point?) but I think it could really go either way, so I'd love to hear anyone else's opinions about what they think the Sluggers are

*Edit: Oh dear, now I understand what the "make this question a discussion question" box meant...seems I won't be able to reply to any responses...oopsie(@´_`@)

It has been some time since I read this book so I don't really know if I can remember my thoughts about it but I think that we are supposed to interperate it for ourselfs if the aliens are real or not. I think I didn't make up my mind either after reading the book.
But despite the concept of the aliens driving the plot forward the real focus of the story was on Henry's thoughts, feelings and journey in coming to terms with sertain things in his life, so in the end for me it wasn't really important if they were real or not if you know what I mean :)

To a point, yes I think a form of aliens are real. I mean we cannot be the only living thing in the entire universe! However I don’t think they are what we think they are. They probably aren’t green humanoid organisms with bug eyes. That’s all, sorry for any spelling errors.
