Bill's Chaos (wburris) This is our book discussion for June 2019.

Hayley Just started this months selection, and I'm enjoying it so far. This isn't a book I would have chosen to read on my own, but I am trying to expand my selections.

Vidya (vidyabhandary) | 77 comments Just finished the book and I loved it. I must confess I like Strogatz's writing (from the NY Time days) so it did not surprise me.

Couple of case studies in the book stood out for me. The use of calculus to come up with the triple-combination therapy to help combat the HIV virus with its mutation capabilities and how it resolved the puzzling asymptotic stage.

The detection of the ripple in the space-time fabric caused by the collision of a pair of black holes - a billion years ago !!

Fascinating !
