Goodreads Sci-Fi/Fantasy Authors discussion

I haven't posted on this website since 2011. My last book was published in 2009. It's hard to say I took a break from writing, instead it was fatherhood! But I'm happy to say I'm back and my second novel was just released this week from Dreaming Big Publications. Very happy about this one I feel like I have matured greatly as a writer and the quality of this novel is above and beyond my initial breakthrough. Please take a look! Hi Rick. Welcome back, and I totally get what you mean about the delay. Fatherhood is a big job, but a very important one. Congratulations on your latest novel, btw!

From my experience, even just setting a novel or chapter aside for a few weeks can make a world of difference, as when we return to it, we are not longer so bound to the "clever" words and regard it from a fresh perspective. Best of luck with your writing, and with being a dad. Not sure which is the harder job, but both can be so rewarding if we invest in them!
