Obviously, any of the many Aesop's Fables editions belongs to this topic. I am currently reading this edition, with illustrations from a variety of well-known 19th and 20th century illustrators such as Arthur Rackham and Walter Crane.

A lovely book with a good moral that is presented in a humorous and gentle way. Love the ending, which makes me smile every time I get to it!
