Eddie’s behavior was odd throughout the story. What were your first thoughts about him? Did you ever suspect him of killing Randolph Pollock? If so, when did you begin to think he’d done it? Was it clear he was in a “relationship” with Una? When did your thoughts about him begin to shift?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Eddie was an odd one. We knew early on that he was infatuated with Una. I didn't begin to really suspect him until he was crying in the kitchen and wouldn't tell anyone why. I believe the kitchen staff said Una had yelled at him. That was when I figured he had killed Truett thinking Truett took the money.

I thought Eddie had a one-way infatuation and that explained his protective behavior towards Una. As the story progressed and Una started showing her manipulative side, I figured she had encouraged it. Never did I think she’d promised him they’d marry, though.

I was pretty certain he’d killed Pollock but was struggling with a motive for killing Truett until I learned he’d delivered a package to him and Una was desperately looking for that money.

~ Giulia ~ | 193 comments At first I thought he only had a one-sided crush on Una. I seriously began suspecting him when they said he had been many times to deliver things to Truett, so he knew the place well. It was only later that I began suspecting him of killing not just Truett but Pollock too.
