How is everyone doing with the challenge? I have been so busy I have neglected my monthly check ins, but I'm still working through the challenges!

So far, I've completed 16 challenges. Not too shabby considering that while I'm working on Level 12, I am basically lucking out that several of the books just happened to meet those challenges. There's still a lot to complete though!

Here's what I've completed:

An Award Winning Book - Beyond the Bright Sea
A Story Told in Multiple Perspectives - Pocahontas by Joseph Bruchac
A Book You Have Never Heard of Before - The Good at Heart
A New (to you) Book by a Favorite Author - Monday's Not Coming - Tiffany D. Jackson
A History or Historical Fiction Based on a Time Period you Know Nothing About - Commie Pinko
A Book about an Indigenous People Group - If I Ever Get Out of Here
A Book About Climate Change - Eye of the Storm
A New Release - Verity by Colleen Hoover
A Book Written by Someone Famous (for something other than writing) - An Absolutely Remarkable Thing - Hank Green
A Fantasy with at Least One Mythical Creature - Into the Drowning Deep (mermaids)
The Next Book in a Series you have Already Started - The Walking Dead Vol. 26
A Book Set in Space - Mars One
A Book You Think Will be a New Favorite - Sawkill Girls
A Book With Your Favorite Color on the Cover - All Different Kinds of Free (Green)
A Book Featuring Aquatic Life - A Whale in Paris
A Book with a Character with the Same First, Middle, or Last Name as You - Edge of Extinction

How is your challenge going? Share what challenges you have finished!

Jean | 11 comments I'm loving the challenge. I have a mix of my books and my daughter's, but since she's 6 I'm reading hers aloud so I feel like that still counts for books I'm reading lol.
A book told an unconventional format: Station Eleven
An award winning book: Fifth Season
Story told in multiple perspectives: The Wartime Sisters
A story based in mythology: The Serpents Secret
Reread a favorite: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
A book with a lot of hype you haven't read: Outlander
A book you Haven't Heard of before: Wings Of Fire
Historical fiction on a time you know nothing about: The Lady of the Rivers
LGBTQIA protagonist: Annie on my mind
Reading crate book you haven't read yet: When Dimple Met Rishi
A New Release: Kingdom of Ash
A book written by someone famous for not writing: Magic Misfits (Neil Patrick Harris)
A fantasy book with a mythical creature: How to Train Your Dragon
The next book in a series you already started: Tower of Dawn
A book set in space: Dr Who The Secret In Vault 13
a book you based on it's cover (it was the title but thats on the cover so it counts right) Ban This Book
A book you think will be a new Favorite: Mariella of Green Gables
Non fiction about a skill you want to learn: Homebody
A book written the year you were born: The Color Purple
A book about an issue important to you: This Is How It Always Is
A book with a character with your first middle or last name: The Inquisitors Tale
A book with a similar theme to your favorite TV show: The White Queen

And I am currently reading the first book in The Wheel of Time series which kind of intimidates me because of how much hope my husband put on me liking it ( it's my first non YA fantasy, well second but I didn't like Fifth Season that much so he isn't counting that lol). And My daughter and I just finished Wings of Fire last night and she's pretty sure she wants to start the Giada De Laurentiis books so that might fit the country I want to visit, I forget what countries are in the series off the top of my head.

Katrina Slayton | 25 comments I think I am doing fairly good at 14 books down off the challenge, considering I fell in love with 2 different series and had to run (or read) down that rabbit hole..
Also, did I mention this is my 1st reading challenge? I also think its fair to mention that my husbands well intended time spent close to me as I read, quickly escalated into tension as he likes to loudly watch youtube videos or tic toc while Im trying to read...and my ADD brain just cannot abide this....Anyone else have this problem?? But I digress. Here is my list...

Own voices story from Asia-- "The three body problem" by Cixin Liu
Own voices story from Africa--"My sister the serial killer" by Oyinkan Braithwaite
A book that takes place in two time periods--"The German Girl" by Armando Lucas Correa
Story told in multiple perspectives-"The Passage" by Justin Cronin
A book with a lot of hype--"An absolutely remarkable thing" by Hank Green
A book I have never heard of before (but sooooo glad I did) "The gods of gotham" by Lyndsay Faye. This was one series I had to stop and read all of.
Historical Fiction from a time I know nothing about-"Gone with the Windsors" by Laurie Graham (this was more of a subject i knew nothing about)
A new release-"The Devil Aspect" by Craig Russell
A book written by someone famous... "Pleasure of my company" by Steve Martin
A book that takes place in my state (Texas)--"Ruby" by Cynthia Bond
Next book in a series I already started--"Seven for a secret" by Lyndsay Faye
A book set in space--"Binti" by Nnedi Okorafor
A book I think will be a new favorite "Year One" by Nora Roberts
