Alyssa (goodreadscomAlice_Skywalker) | 61 comments Okay so I have this one class where the teacher has a very...let's say, interesting personality. I think she's awesome! But pretty much all the other kids think she's just a creepy old cat lady. I don't want to seem like I'm being the teacher's pet by being the only one who appreciates her unorthodox personality, but I also don't want to not show her that I, at least, think she's cool. What do you guys suggest I do?

How should I put this, act natural! If you're that afraid of going up and talking to her, or what other people will think, u can always just be casual. Lets say you were in a class with a teacher everyone thinks is awesome, including you! Then, when you ask a question, or do some normal class thing, your excited or casual! You just do normal class stuff the way you feel to do it! So if you are feeling that way, answer a question and do other stuff normally! Sorry if that was confusing but what I'm trying to say is, don't act like you think she's a crazy cat lady, but just be normal. Answering questions, and being nice and polite to her does not make you a teachers pet! It makes you an awesome person!

Ms. Waite is awesome Alice! She has a cool personality with her own family and has traveled down a dark past. She seems pretty interesting which means it will not be a boring year of English. She likes video games and horror which has got to be pretty exciting plus she likes cats, an animal person!

Girlfromdystopia | 160 comments Hey, I just joined this group and I think it's awesome!!! My problem is that I want to be a writer/author so bad but my parents and grandparents want me to be a doctor. I make all A's so they all think I should be a doctor because of how smart they have to be. And when I was younger I did say I wanted to be a doctor but now I've changed my mind. I really don't want to disappoint them. Help?

Well, in my family we follow our dreams. I say take a chance and go for it- couldn't hurt. I am getting my book published soon and there is still plenty of time to change my mind if I don't want to be an author. It does take time and money to get a book published. Once you get it done it is very satisfactory seeing your name on the cover of a book in a store. You could do both- be a doctor and be an author at the same time. Your family shouldn't get mad or be disappointed. Take your time to make the decision- make a list of positives and negatives even. Just make your mark on this world and follow your dreams. :)

Girlfromdystopia | 160 comments Thanks so much guys. I love my parents and they love me too, and they do want me to be happy, I was just worried I'd disappoint them. But y'all made me feel better and I'm going to make it clear to them what my choice is, no matter what I choose.

You will not disappoint them, even when the worse things happen, your family will always be there for you, right?
