Reading only books from your TBR shelf, try to complete every task!

Yeah. It’s to help cull your TBR shelf but if there’s something not on your TBR shelf that you’ve been wanting to read for a while then you’re free to read that too :)

Can we use one book for more than one tasks?

Hmm... I’m thinking no because then you’ll be able to read more books and cull your TBR shelf more. Plus it makes the challenge more interesting.

Is that ok with you? I don’t want the challenge to be so difficult that no one wants to take part😂

Oh I’m taking part of this challenge definitely! I will hopefully finish all of these in the year!

Yay! I’m going to start this challenge as soon as I’ve finished the book I’m reading. My TBR shelf is super big and I definitely need this to get it down.

This is superb motivation to knock some books off my TBR shelf. I honestly have such a problem with rereading or finding other books and never touching my TBR shelf, which just keeps growing. 😂

I guess that makes more sense!😂 It's fine by me, I just can't tell I'll be able to complete it this year. Since my college has started I hardly get time to read.

@Jessica same!! My TBR just keeps on growing. I come across any marginally good book and I have to add it to my TBR. Now I’m not even sure what I’m suuuuper excited to read, what I’m happy to read and what I want to read one day in the future but maybe not right now😂

@Grace it’s cool if you can’t finish the challenge this year. There’s no time limit so take however long you need! Having less time to read sucks😩

I think I'll take part even though I'm not sure I will be able to finish it but hey! at least I'll reduce my ever-growing TBR pile, right?

Saaaame. And then when I can't make that decision because I don't know, I just go and look for a random book that's not on my list 😂

I'll most definitely be participating. Starting with the book I just started, Tallstar's Revenge, which should count for a book with an illustrated cover. (Illustrated by Wayne McLoughlin)

My TBR shelf is actually kind of small. It's only thirty or so books. Some people have over 200

Yeah . . . I don't think I'll be able to meet all of the tasks just for the reason that I don't have all that many books on my shelf

Zaiyah you’ll have to do the opposite and add to your TBR first😂😂 goes against the whole point of the challenge but you gotta do what you gotta do.

And WOW ILSEN! 4000 is a BIG TBR shelf!! Mine’s at 700 right now. At the start of the year my TBR and read shelves were equal at like 645 but not anymore! Before my exams I added loads of books to my TBR shelves so I can read them after the exams. I haven’t gotten round to them yet😬

To be fair, I have to clean it out because some books on there I really don’t want to read. But yea I constantly add more books so my TBR is always humongous.

I did that a while back where I deleted all sequels from my TBR shelf. Like I have a bad habit of adding book 1, 2 and 3 and prequels from series to my TBR shelf when I haven’t even read book 1 yet. It really bloats my TBR up so I went through it and tried to delete all the sequels from there.

OMG ME TOO! That’s the reason why my TBR is so big. I really have to cleanse it.

I add sequels after I read the book before if I like it. Since I have such a horrible memory, I can never remember to take them off, so it's better if I don't add them in the first place.

I do that now but before I went crazy and I’m still suffering for it

My shelf recently hit 1000. It's a nightmare! Definitely taking part in this!

1000 sounds crazy but I’m not far off with 700😱Hopefully this challenge helps reduce people’s TBR’s by umm 15 books😂😂😂😂 Look at me dissing my own challenge. Still, it should be fun and that’s the main point!

My TBR shelf is over 900 with about 300 on a Maybe shelf.

I just checked my tbr and there are 386 books!😱 I know this sounds less than all of you😅, but it's too much for me. Don't even know when I added that many books!!

First update: I'm starting today, 30th of June, 3:32 p.m.

Yeah it’d be cool if you did. It is for yourself really but also it’s a nice talking point too.

Maybe you could add books that fit into those categories just so you have something for those categories. I don't know if that's considered cheating though...

Zaiyah you could definitely add to your TBR just for this challenge. It might go against the purpose of the challenge but if your TBR is small then your already winning really😂 I can recommend some books for those tasks if you like!

I have been adding them, now my TBR is at 32, which is still small but I'm still missing 2 and 3! I've mainly just been looking at listopia and if I see something that catches my eye I read the synopsis. But it's so frustrating!
