Everyone knows the original P&P story; this one has a dose of zombies added to it.

The five Bennet girls are trained as warriors, zombie-killers, and go through their Victorian lives hunting and beheading unmentionables. All the characters from the original book are represented, with a new zombified twist: Catherine de Burgh is the best warrior in the land, Charlotte becomes a zombie herself and nobody notices except Elizabeth...

It was... amusing, but the kind of book you come out of thinking “what did I just read?!” Definitely not serious enough to be considered a “real” horror novel, in my opinion.

I was really angry with this one. Felt like a half-a**ed lazy attempt at satire, using that Chinese fortune cookie game of tagging on to the end of the fortune "in bed", only here it was "and zombies". There could have been a really excellent satire, spoof or pure retelling in the zombie world that was missed.

The movie adaptation was actually quite good...vastly improved it!
