This month is our summer reading free for all! This is a new release from Tal Bauer who I'm a big fan of. Can't wait for some cowboy goodness!

Jude Tresswell Hi Markie and everyone.
I think that chapter one should be read by anyone wanting hints about using Amazon's 'Look Inside' as click bait. Dramatic.
Got to be honest - Law is my kind of hero. If he rode a Harley instead of a horse, he'd be perfect.
There's always crime, and Everett's a lawman (small 'l', ha-ha) so there's clearly scope for a sequel. I'd read it in part to see how Tal Bauer would deal with the fact that we now know Everett's back story. Not knowing it adds to the tension of Hell and Gone and, in driving the character, helps to drive the plot. So I'm curious.
Something else that intrigues me - has Tal Bauer read any Zane Grey? I kept thinking of 'The Light of the Western Skies'. Very different story, time and place, but the same wild majestic landscape that's as brutal as it's beautiful and the same wild, flawed, hard-fighting hero who heads a cattle ranch, is great with horses, is feared, respected, disliked...and is so in need of love and so capable of loving. Big, big difference: Grey's hero is 100% straight. How I wish he wasn't!

Sorry about the late reply! I got locked out of Goodreads for some damn reason. D:

I LOVE LAW. He was such a rough and tough dude, but once he got in bed he was such a sweet soul. I really loved the dynamic between the two and the ending was so badass. I was holding my breath when Law chased after the dude and left Everett in that burning house. OOF!!

"The Light of the Western Skies" sounds great! I'll have to check that out!

YES!! He has such an amazing way of painting the mountains with his words. It sounded gorgeous and I'm not at ALL an outdoorsy person.
I would absolutely go horse back riding with Law and Everett. <3 <3

Jude Tresswell Markie, before you go rushing to read "The Light of the Western Skies", I've got to tell you that it's not M/M. It was written one hundred years ago and it's totally het . Gene Stewart's one helluva hero though.
