There were a few red herrings in this story...Luther Northrup, Cory Raymond, Estelle Billingsley. Were you ever suspicious of any of them, persuaded that one of them was the killer? Why or why not?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think I figured out who the killer was quite early on, rare for me. The geographic hint about the remote French village early on stayed in my mind as if it were written in all CAPS.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Me too, Charlene. That stuck in my mind and made the professor my number one suspect. I didn't look at any of the other suspects seriously.

~ Giulia ~ | 193 comments I never thought Luther a suspect; he seemed quite harmless. For a time I thought it might have been Georgia.

Luther seemed obvious but I thought it was Georgia for most of the book! The professor wasn’t on my radar because I couldn’t figure out a motive.
