Dillon and Kate found something in each other pretty quickly. Your thoughts about their relationship and romance?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments Unfortunately, their romance didn't work for me.
Aside from one or two mentions of attraction, the first 75% of the book doesn't indicate a romantic connection between them at all. Thus, when it does materialize, it feels contrived.

In fact, I would argue that Kate had more chemistry with Jack than with Dillon.

I wouldn't classify this book as RS, it is definitely more of a thriller with romantic elements that feel forced.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments It was definitely more suspense than romance. Just how Jonetta it! I like more romance but I can overlook it if the plot is good and I liked this one, even with all the nasty stuff.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments I feel like their attraction was based more on lust. Kate had been alone for so long and Dillon did seemed to have a relationship in a while either. It will be interesting to see what happens between them.

I think the timeline for their “relationship” was about three days. Definitely lust but it didn’t bother me. Anita is right...the mystery and suspense sucked me in.

This was really a mystery with romantic elements.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I felt it was mystery with romance thrown in. It didn't really bother me but I didn't feel that they had any real chemistry. It was almost as if she wrote this really good suspenseful story and then decided it would need some romance at the end.

You’ve described that perfectly, Karen.
