Well...

HELLO!

I have know clue.

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments I'm here.

message 4: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments Animated.

message 5: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments Can anyone draw people? I think I'm pretty good at backgrounds.

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
I can!

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
My people are okay I just need to work on my hands a bit.

message 8: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments I could work on the script, too. Honestly, I'm better at writing than drawing.

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
Soooo once you guys have an idea of a script I can start drawling!

message 10: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments Yes. And no weird voiceovers either. Do you know what I'm talking about? Like, the voiceover in bad movies where the main character stares off into space, or the camera pans down a city, and she just goes on for five minutes, describing the exact details of who she is, what her world is like, etc.

message 11: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments I guess I'll go create a discussion for the script.

message 12: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (abigaillb) Hi, sorry, I wasn't on at all yesterday, I took a day trip with my mom and little sister to pennsylvania.

Abigail (abigaillb) I see, Master Yoda

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) Hello, sorry I didn't get a notification on this discussion. I'm cool with being whoever. If we're doing animated we won't need as big a cast if some people play two or three roles.

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) But I think we should pick the style, Banana, can you try to send a few pictures of Team Sophie In Action?

message 16: by 18BlueberryQueen (new)

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
Yes but what do you meen my team Sophie?

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) Like all of Sophie's gang and everything, you could draw a group picture, or them alone, but it's just to give us an idea of the style we're working with.

Ummm... sure it just might take a little while since there’s a lot of them! But under my profile there’s pictures of some of the characters separate.

That would be fine.

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) I think we should include the preface in our movie, and I have an idea on the script!

Blurry screen from Sophie's eyes. She sees bondages holding her hands together. There's a cloth coming toward her mouth and she only squeaks before it covers her mouth and the screen fades to black.
Teal eyes appear on screen and a movie-star-worthy smile
Screen goes black again.

Well they write many skirt before becoming perfect sooo.... maybe in the end we can change it a bit.

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) Watermelonduck wrote: "I dont know I like already started on the script😁"

That's okay, of course, we'll have to edit it a lot, I'm just throwing in ideas!

After that we could do chapter one.

Scene opens to a close-up of Sophie.
(music is playing then is cut off and we hear Mr Sweeny's voice)
Mr. Sweeny: Miss Foster! Have you decided that you're too smart to pay attention to this information?
(Sophie looks up.)
Sophie (mumbling): No, Mr Sweeny.
Long shot of museum area, everyone's staring at Sophie.
Full length shot of Mr Sweeny, he holds up earbuds: Then perhaps you would like to explain why you were listening to your I-pod instead of following along?

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) Of course, we'd have to find out how to include all the thoughts of the other students in that without making it distracting to the viewers

Yeah

message 25: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (abigaillb) We could maybe have audible grumbles like 'Freak' or 'Genius girl' or whatever... I don't know!

message 27: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (abigaillb) Yay! Bravo👏

message 28: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments For voice acting, I could potentially do the male roles (I'm oddly good at that), but there's a problem...

I really hate recording myself, even if it is just my voice. I also feel terribly awkward speaking to myself alone in a room, and I don't know why.

message 29: by 18BlueberryQueen (new)

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
Same. I could record male too I can sound exactly like my brother when i want to. I could also just have my brother help.

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) AnchorsAweigh13 wrote: "We could maybe have audible grumbles like 'Freak' or 'Genius girl' or whatever... I don't know!"

That sounds like a good idea.

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) Maybe we'll have to recruit some males on the team.
My dilemma is I don't have anything to record with that I can get onto these discussions.

message 32: by Abigail (new)

Abigail (abigaillb) Me neither...

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

my goodness you're talking about all of this but we still have no idea what platform we can use for it!

I could potentially be a backup male voice actor.

message 35: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments Maybe we don't even need to use a platform for recordings. We could just do subtitles. And as for the animating, I think there are a few programs that could be used for that.

message 36: by Reagan (new)

Reagan (reaganmariej) ((Sorry to interrupt, but what are you guys doing? I was in vacation, the I was sick, so I haven't really been around for like a week and a half))

message 37: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments The plan is to make a movie. Problem is, we have no idea how to actually do it.

Sushie || "To gain your voice, you must forget about having it heard" -William Ginsberg (73687) So far Banana and I are drawing characters, Nova is drawing backgrounds, Watermelonduck is writing the script, and we're discussing how we should put in voices.

message 39: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments I could draw characters, too. And help out with the script. I am a multitasker.

message 40: by 18BlueberryQueen (new)

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
Ok

message 41: by Reagan (new)

Reagan (reaganmariej) Okay, do any of you know how to code? I can do Java Script a little bit (ie. I used to be able to) and I can use html, but we all use html to write our comments, also you can't make a movie with html.

message 42: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments I know a great programmer. Seriously, she's awesome at it, and can program in twelve languages.

message 43: by Reagan (new)

Reagan (reaganmariej) Cool, with coding we can probably have her code the scenes and then video tape it and afterwards add voice overs. As a shortcut though, we just make one of those mock trailers you see on YouTube.

message 44: by 18BlueberryQueen (new)

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
That’s complicated. Even for a hacker.

What do you mean by "code the scenes"? I'm not an expert, but I don't think animating requires any programming. I think it's just drawing frames and putting them together in an illusion of movement.

message 46: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments Banana wrote: "That’s complicated. Even for a hacker."

Hackers aren't always that great, though. It's just a stereotype.

message 47: by Reagan (new)

Reagan (reaganmariej) Yeah, it was a weird idea and I think that animation software uses coding. We could probably find a kid one though that is really simplified. But overall, I didn't really think that through

message 48: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments No, I don't think it does. But just in case, I do have an animator friend that could explain how everything works.

message 49: by 18BlueberryQueen (new)

18BlueberryQueen | 388 comments Mod
Yeah I also have an animator/coding friend who’s pretty good.

message 50: by Nova (new)

Nova Syzygy (novatheproxy) | 1560 comments Okay.
