What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Here's what I remember:
Woman lived in commune during college in the 60's. One of her friends who lived there was murdered. Years later she is married and runs into one of the men who also lives there, and he confesses to her that he committed the murder. The only other thing I remember is that in the opening of the book, the woman is on a small boat with her husband.

That's definitely the one I was thinking of -- not sure if it's Sarah's, though.

It must be it -- I remember the opening chapter was the woman and her husband on a boat. And her husband's a minister.

Sarah is still active and has shelved that book.
