Christian Ladies Book Club discussion

I've read forward quite a bit and have to back track...lol. I'm really liking this book. The subject matter is difficult, but Francine Rivers has a way with pulling you into the story.

I reflect back on my life and compare to Angel's. Even with good, nurturing relationships, we still fail, make mistakes, are betrayed by others, etc. I think back to moments of betrayal and the walls formed with intentions of creating safety. While being betrayed by one person, most generally there is still someone in your life you can turn to.

Unfortunately in Angel's case, there isn't. She can't recognize goodness when it comes her way, because she's been deceived so much in her past. She puts up walls and makes it so easy to keep others at a distance, yet Michael comes back for her...and I'm so glad he does. I want Angel to experience goodness.
