My reads for August is to finish Assassin's Quest and then Successor's Promise, The Well of Ascension, The Hero of Ages and and I may continue with Robin Hobb with Ship of Magic.

I'm about to start The Talisman!

Next I thought I'd go with more of a classic, Swords and Deviltry.

Will you read the whole Realm of the Elderlings saga? Next series is Liveship Traders, and it's amazingly good!

Yes I am. I plan on doing Ship of Magic very soon. I seem to have a lot of big books coming up so I don't know if it will be this month or next. Also, I'm really struggling with my current book and it's really slowing me down.

I wanted to pop back in and mention a book I just finished (not quite fantasy but also not not fantasy). It’s likely closer to sci-fi and horror but it’s just a novella and I thought some of my old friends from here would enjoy it.
The Murders of Molly Southbourne by Tade Thompson is a very, very strange tale that keeps you reading. I started it because I was an hour early to a hair appointment. Then I was disappointed that the time had arrived.
I read this in 2 sittings and it’s a novella so on my iPhone it was 142 pages long. I don’t come back to the interwebz that often anymore, but this book made me download the GR app again and give you words. It was a Tor free ebook a couple months back. If you downloaded it, give it a shot. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! :)

Starting Hush. I usually have a good time with James Maxey's books.

Net of Dreams Looks interesting. I put it on my TBR list.

I totally forgot Recursion was out, I need to get onto that.

Finished The Well of Ascension. Brandon Sanderson is simply the best. He may be the best fantasy author ever. Next on the list is Successor's Promise and then The Hero of Ages.

The Court of Broken Knives
This is so good! I wasn't sure that I'd like it initially but it's really gripping.

I finished Successor's Promise. I was so disappointed. The series was great for the first two books but it went down hill in this one. I've pretty much decided I won't finish the series. I'm now on to The Hero of Ages.

When I see fantasy with an Egyptian theme I remember I still haven't read The Anubis Gates. I'm going to put it on my Free-Spirit list.

Lots of stars! Great month for you.
In another group we always list and star our books so I decided to copy it over. Perhaps we should do it every month :))

Recursion - 5 stars
The Game (short story by Michael J. Sullivan. There was another short story I read by him, but it's not listed on GR, so I didn't rate it) - 4 stars
The Red Pyramid - 3.5 stars
Also read a very short book about Pennsylvania Dutch expressions, which I gave three stars. I almost finished one other book too, but not quite.

Me, I just copy/pasted the stars from one of the earlier messages.

I'm entering every book I read in a shared spreadsheet for a reading competition for another group. I simply copy-pasted my whole month (minus mangas, shorts, etc.) :)
I like the idea though... I'm up for doing this every time, or maybe people can just give their favorite read of the month if they don't feel like listing everything.

The past couple months have been quite rough for me, so I barely had any time or desire to read... But that means I have plenty of new release I was waiting for to dig into this month! The latest books by M. Sullivan, Rachel Aaron and Mark Lawrence are just waiting for me! :D
