Jenny (diggensjenny) Movie/Actor Games

For this really simple game, I'll start by listing a movie title and an actor/actress that stars in that movie. Next person will take the same actor/actress previously listed, and list another movie they starred in. And you continue on going back and forth. The only real rule is to list movies not tv shows, and you can't list the same movie the previous person listed for the same actor. (Hint: If stuck go to the online movie database at www.imdb.com and search by movie or actor/actress.)

Examples:

First person: Sparkle - Whitney Houston

Second person: Whitney Houston - The Bodyguard

Third person: The Bodyguard - Kevin Costner

Fourth person: Kevin Costner - Message in a Bottle

Jenny (diggensjenny) Read Around the World

In this game, a player will give a city, town, country or state and you need to find a book that has that city, town, country or state in the title.

For Example:

Montana -

Book Title: Montana Sky

Melbourne -

Book Title: Once Upon a Time in Melbourne

3. London

Jenny (diggensjenny) Round Name Game

You start with a book title and author. The next person must find either another book with the same title or an author with the same first or last as the current author.

Example

The Breeders by Katie French

the next person can write:
The Breeders Box by Timothy Murphy or
The Proposition by Katie Ashley

If you're having a tough time finding a book or author, then you can start improvising with name variations. For example, Kelley could be spelled as Kelly or Kelli.

Also, if you had Patricia, you could substitute a shorter version such as Pat. Also, if you know of a name that is usually substituted for one name in another country, but you can use those as well.

Jenny (diggensjenny) This .... Is ..... Jeopardy!

First-person asks a Jeopardy-like question.
The second person answers the question. Answer must be in the form of a question.

Then the second person leaves a new question.
e.g.

First Person: The largest & fastest members of the dolphin family, they're also known as orcas

Second Person: What is a killer whale?

Question: The capital city of Canada has the nickname "By-town".

etc

Jenny (diggensjenny) Would You Rather.......?

For this game, you will answer the questions presented by the person before you. You must choose between the two questions, no modified answers :), and then give your two options. Here is a brief description from Wikipedia: "The dilemma can be between two supposedly good options, such as, 'Would you rather have the power of flight or the power of invisibility?', or it can be between two supposedly bad options, as in, 'Would you rather sleep with your best friend's lover or your lover's best friend?' The players, sometimes including the questioner, they must choose their answers. Answering 'neither' or 'both' is against the rules. This leads the players to debate their rationales."

Ready to play? We will start with an easy one!

Would you rather…

Go way back in time and meet your ancestors (Pre 1800's)

or

Go way into the future and meet your great-grandchildren (Post 2200)

Hi Melissa, if you'd like to play the Yum or Ewww game - there's a separate thread in the Gameroom that is already going so you can continue that thread.
This thread is just about the Rules of the Games so that everyone knows how each game works.
