So.... what did you think?? I'll be posting some discussion questions but feel free to share your own thoughts too!

Brittani | 14 comments I really enjoyed this book. Finished it pretty quickly. I’m still trying to process, will comment once I see what everyone says! :)

Gina Pell (gina_pell) | 1 comments I liked Recursion and its conceit of traveling back through time to change an outcome but then having the two realities crash into each other—like Sliding Doors but if at one point you became fully aware of what was. It just got to be a clusterfu@k towards the end in away that was less pleasing than Dark Matter. But it’s a fun page turner for fans of the multiverse and it’s refreshing that the scientific mastermind is a woman. Currently, I’m reading Lost and Wanted by Nell Freudenberger and I find the physics more rigorous and clearly distilled. Between the two books I recommend the latter.

Carolyn Lloyd (caroinchicago) | 1 comments First time commenting - hi!! I read a galley of Recursion and reread it when it was published in its final form. I enjoyed it just as much as Dark Matter, I’d not more, and think the tumultuous, repetitive nature of the last chunk helped me identify with the characters more. Their realities were so undefined and confusing at that point, and Crouch’s writing emphasized that for me. I wish I could spend a day in the author’s brain as he’s plotting out and researching these books!

message 5: by Lin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lin (linnola) This was my first book by Blake Crouch. I enjoyed it so much that I requested his other books from the library. Can't wait to read them as many have commented that Dark Matter is also a great book.

Kavi Krish (thebooklifeofkk) Initially I thought this book would not be so interesting and never got around reading it. But then I joined this book club and started to read it. The book was really good. Loved the story line.

Mallory (onmalsshelf) Bartel (onmalsshelf) | 3 comments I was disappointed in Recursion after how much I loved Dark Matter. The first part of Recursion made me dislike many of the characters and I found the plot messy and sometimes predictable.

Becca Well, for some reason the repetitive nature towards the end and the fact that it wasn't Helena having another bright moment and coming up with a solution actually made me the book like more. Yes, it was messy before, yes, it gets graphic at times and honestly, most of the time I didn't have a clue of what was going on. But I think this was the intention behind it. You shouldn't know before the characters but suffer the same confusion and hopelessness they did... for me at least this worked out well. It was my first Crouch I can't say whether Dark Matter is better or worse but I enjoyed Recursion.

Sally Durbin | 16 comments I really enjoyed this book! That ending is just pure torture though! I didn’t mind the repetitive nature of the end of the book though, which surprised me because I’ve read another book that’s similarly repetitive (Life After Life) which I wasn’t a huge fan of! I’m definitely going to have to read Dark Matter though as I see that one mentioned a bunch here!
