I joined their ranks for $10 a month, and I can quit anytime I like. For that $10, I can get 10 photos that month, whatever I like, in the huge stock photo format for High Resolution and use it however I like, royalty free.
Better yet, the dollar roll over to next month. I can download nine today, let one roll over to next month, pay 10 bucks on time, and have eleven downloads waiting. I can plug along for six months, have sixty pics stored up, and grab em in batches for future book series.
Considering the costs of the other sites, this was a big plus for me, a guy who lives on frugality.

One of the big things that prevented me from using Stock photos and an image editor was related to the high cost of stock photos.
Some of us here has a history with CDs and other media stored away for future use. Guys like me, not so lucky.
