I did not like it. I didn't care for Colin at all. I found his whininess such a turn off. I enjoyed Lindsey.
Though all of Green's early female protagonists seem to have this whole "Oh, I have this boyfriend, but guess what? I love this other guy instead!"
You know what I mean? In Looking For Alaska it's the same thing, I feel like Green purposely has his female characters date guys that he knows won't stand a chance to the main guy. It's kind of annoying...

Don't get me wrong, while I disliked the book pretty generally, there are things I loved about it. I liked Colin's anagramming skills, I loved the Katherine flashbacks, the nonlinear style was nice, and I loved the footnotes so much, which I point out in my review. I liked that Hassan was a religious character who was determined to date out of religious reasons, that's unique to see in novels. I have a friend who really liked this book because he could relate to Colin, though he said he's not as whiny. :)

Colin was a very good character and as John Green manages to do, he made him alive. Colin is my absolute favorite character from this book.
And Hassan was my mom's favorite when I told her to read it, and let's state that now it's her favorite book of all time. Well, maybe not of all time, but whatever.
If you haven't read this yet, add it to your TBR pile and read it when you can :)
