For those of you that saw the movie, how did the book compare?

I couldn't get into this book at first. However, once it started going, I was hooked. Somewhat comparable to Catching Fire with its "game". At times, this was pretty predictable. I guessed the ending about halfway through the book. I'm excited to read thr next book and am quite curious to how the Grievers and movie will compare!

Well, the Grievers were nothing like I imagined. haha. The movie was somewhat comparable, although, the ending made me mad!! I'm not going to give away any spoilers. The movie was good, although it was different, but of course, the book was better.

I don't want to give any spoilers, but he is coming out with another prequel that is about what happens before they all go to the Glade!!!

Jenni | 83 comments I just recently went to see the movie with a group of friends. I was the only one who had read the book, and they had all agreed to see the movie with me. Though they did get mad when i was like "I can't watch this part" or whenever I made comments about what happened in the book.
I quite LITERALLY had a smile on my face through the whole thing. It was perfect. The things they changed weren't too excessive, and the things they added only added to how great the movie was.
I however don't like the actor that played Thomas, that was my only problem with the movie. & I can't wait for the second movie!

Christine | 116 comments I watched the movie literally right after I finished the book so I could see all the little things they had changed. The plot was definitely simplified to make it more understandable to movie watchers but all in all, it was a pretty good movie. I remember they made the maze really cool in the movie! I absolutely love Dylan O'Brien and Thomas Sangster so that might've added a little bias... haha.

Farren (mmmcookies) I am probably the only person who preferred the movie to the book! I did like the Scorch Trials book better, so maybe that is why. Although I have to say, the trailer for that movie looks NOTHING like the book. But I still think they will do a good job.
