I just didn't consider this book BDSM. This was an actual slave/master world. The slave was actually rape and beaten to keep him in line not because he wanted it.

No one else has asked this question and maybe that's because they read the category in the first round, or maybe I'm just dense, but should this really say "not a bear/wolf" to describe what shifter others should be?
Oh lol. I just naturally picked a weird shifter type so I didn't bother to confirm the wording.On a personal note, I consider the common shifter types used in romances to be: wolf, bear and cat species.

yes it should - there is a second SS category that is bear/wolf - which is in another pairing

Cherise Sinclair is a great BDSM author. All the books I have read from her were a hit. I know what you are saying about the native romance. Mythological books for the win! I don't think I will be able to handle a third round with a native book.
