I Read Comic Books discussion

I'm catching up on IRCB podcasts from the summer and just wanted to thank Kara, Tia and everyone behind the podcast for the episode "Mansplaining in Comics." I've experienced a lot of the things Tia and Kara talk about firsthand, and there are definitely still times when others try to make me seem less valid as a fan or worthy of having an opinion. So it was amazing to listen to a candid and open discussion about these issues and how male-identifying fans can help make sure everyone feels welcome. It really did mean a lot to hear this discussed in such an authentic and honest way. So thank you! (and I hope this is the right place to post this!)

YES!!! This episode rocked me when I listened to it. I still feel like I struggle with some of the points they made in the episode, but it's advice like from this episode that helps me be a better comics fan every day.

It's such a rewarding experience to listen to my own show every once and a while and this episode is one of the great examples of that.

Episodes like this is a good reminder of how to interact with people and just because i want to talk comics with anyone i meet, that may not be the case for everyone!
