Who's the author of the Shannara Trilogy?
Terry Brooks. I have to admit, I've started the first book a half-dozen times, but have gotten distracted, and never finished it. I've had a copy for 20 years, and, coincidentally, just donated it to the library today :) For some reason, I just have never been able to finish it, even though I've always loved fantasy.
As we were late getting our monthly reads out for the month of August, the monthly themed reads will now be:OCT - Witches
NOV - Paranormal
DEC - Space Travel
We'll start nominating theme for the next year in December as well. Thanks!

The way this works is we'll still have the normal 3 monthly reads - one comic, one manga, one novel - but we'll add a 4th themed read which can be any type of read as long as it fits the theme.
