This is the nomination thread for our upcoming 2020 Yearly Read. Give us some suggestions, Snails! The bigger and more daunting the book...the better! ;-)

Great list, Erin! I've got two of those on my TBR and physical shelf. Never too many options ;-)

Vickie (bookfan4ever) I'm confused, we're nominating books and now voting right away?🤯😵😆

Hey Vickie. Essentially, yes; sometimes I have a hard time remembering to coordinate nominations threads and polls. In the past, polls haven't been put up until too late, giving people only a week or two to vote. I don't like for that to happen! I didn't see the harm in putting up the poll early; the poll will be open until December 31. I am having a baby in about two weeks and wasn't sure if I would have the time to get a poll started. I am checking in every few days right now, adding nominations to the poll. Is that ok with everyone? ;-)

If anyone doesn't like it this way, I understand and will adjust in the future...

Thanks! Added to the poll. I want to read "The Terror" by Dan Simmons and am currently reading "The Stand" by Stephen King. Good choices

Oh well then, we need a poll about the baby! Names? Weight? Whatever? LOL

All best to you and the little!

@readage - What's the baby news? Has that been posted anywhere?

Pien | 601 comments I never realized it was such a huge read, so now I know, I’d like to put this one up for a yearly read!
‘It’ , of course by Stephen King

message 14: by Vickie (new)

Vickie (bookfan4ever) I added it to the poll Pien.😊👍

Hi Candace. Sorry for the late response. I had the baby September 3rd and we are healthy and well. He's growing strong and fast!!

Darlene (gryffreads) | 6 comments Just saw this message. If you're still accepting nominations, I'm already planning to read Don Quixote next year. If anyone is interested, I've been told that the Edith Grossman translation is the best version to get

Don Quixote
