All the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld

Val All the books I have read from the 2014 longlist and given four or five stars have been nominated at least twice, with the exception of this one:
The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton.
It is written in the style of a Victorian novel and concerns mysterious and illegal goings-on in the New Zealand goldfields.
The book is long, so this may be another one to read over two months.

Juniper (jooniperd) | 343 comments fwiw, another group i moderate just finished a read of 'the luminaries' - they did run it over two months, it's a chunky book and quite layered.
