Literary Adventure discussion

This is another of the books about books on our reading list. Again, I love books about books!

1. Like Joe Queenan, Susan Hill has very definite ideas about electronic forms of books. Do you have opinions about e-books, what are they? Do you agree with Hill and Queenan, why or why not?

2. Ms. Hill talks about the need for slow reading of novels, rather than just the quick read for plot. Do you find this is more helpful in enjoying and absorbing a book? Why or why not?

3. Ms. Hill spends a year discovering new books, and some old titles. This is similar to what we are doing in Literary Adventures. How is your Adventure paralleling Ms. Hill's, or are you taking a completely different path?

4. After reading Howard's End is on the Landing, have you added to your TBR pile? Are there other books you've added or deleted in this Literary Adventure?
