The Reading Challenge Group discussion

There seemed to be a lot of interesting discussion on this book in the 'October Planned Reading' thread.

I read it the other day, and enjoyed it far more than expected. And it actually freaked me out, which is rare for a book to do!

I also read it for the first time recently. Just this summer, in fact. Also quite pleasantly surprised. I had all these expectations, which were completely unfounded. I loved the ambiguity of it! And the creepiness.

Jennifer Crusie did a take off on it in her latest romantic comedy. I knew what she was referencing but, now I've read the original, it's so much better.

How can you do a romantic comedy of it?! Really can't work that out!

I'm actually undecided when it comes to that. I think (view spoiler)[that the child's actions point to there being an actual ghost, but then at the same time Mrs. Grose couldn't see them... (hide spoiler)]. I don't know! How about you?
