I think Sugathakumari teachers Sahyahridhayam is one of the best books regarding the nature written in malayalam. It is a fusion of her extraordinary poems along with the amazing photos pertaining to the same themes discussed in her poems. Not sure the recommendation is now relevant or not. "Aathi" by Sarah Joseph tells the story a lake and it's very interesting one.
