Ayushma Neku (user_ayushmaneku) is an upcoming trilogy about Norse mythology by American author Rick Riordan. The first book is scheduled to be released in October 2015.

I don't know how to respond to that!

The name of the first book is The Sword of Summer. It will be released in October 2015. The name of the main character is Magnus Chase, cousin of Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series. It is said to be similar to Riordans' other books, but based on Norse mythology instead of Greek. It will include Norse gods and goddesses such as Odin, Loki, and Thor.

Check it out on wiki...
what do you think

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 717 comments Unless it's explained in the blood of olympus (Haven't read it yet) I dislike the links to different mythologies. rome and greece is okay because they are really similar but norse and greek? they don't share any simmilarities

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil | 717 comments I think it will be asesome as well but am a real nerd when it comes to myths, how will they explain the different world begining? norse, greece and egypt all have different myths about the creation of the world and man so how will it work?

Captain Cheesecake (cheesecakeisawesome) | 1364 comments If Magnus is Annabeths cousin, don't you think we might see a cameo? Or maybe a partial epilogue?

There better be one. I know that we have seen the last of the Greeks and the Romans.

I don't think they'll be connected as such. They didn't combine the Egyptian with the Greek/Roman myths, but we know the stories do take place in the same world. I don't think any of the books have actually touched on an explanation for how the world was created etc. so maybe it's leading up to some explanation. If it's not I'll be fine with that too.

Valeria (asmilecuresanything) | 1 comments I think we should have faith in Rick. He doesn't cease to amaze us and that's the cool thing, how will he combine all these myths, that's the exciting part.

Captain Cheesecake (cheesecakeisawesome) | 1364 comments Well, he probably wont combine Egyptian in there, but maybe a bit of Greek in the Norse. He would find a way to tie ALL the mythologies in if he wanted to for us. But, you know how Chiron said that Greek mythology moves with the crowd and what not? Maybe its the same with all the mythologies? Some are just more developed than others. If this theory is correct, we all know the gods are gonna have a major headache if Annabeth doesn't get along with her cousin.

Magnus Chase isn't Annabeth's son.

Magnus Chase has always been a troubled kid. Since his mother's mysterious death, he's lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers. One day, he's tracked down by an uncle he's never met—a man his mother claimed was dangerous. His uncle tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god. The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday. To prevent Ragnarok, Magnus must search the Nine Worlds for a weapon that has been lost for thousands of years. When an attack by fire giants forces him to choose between his own safety and the lives of hundreds of innocents, Magnus makes a fatal decision. Sometimes, the only way to start a new life is to die . . . (less)

There are no other major children of Athena to fill the uncle role. Plus Rick wouldn't kill off one of his most beloved characters in a backstory.

"I never see them. My dad and uncle don't get along. Some old rivalry. I don't know. It's stupid what keeps people apart."

Actually, they didn't say son, they said descendant.
