National Teen Read Week is this month, from October 12-18. So, this month's challenge is to read anything written for young adults. Whether you are into fantasy, dystopian, or realistic fiction, YA lit has something for everyone!

Erica T | 1 comments So far this month I have read two YA books. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson and The Chosen by Chaim Potok. The first is a modern story that deals with a serious topic but also keeps you smiling about the difficulties of high school. The second is a story of Jewish life and the friendship of two Jewish young men in the US during WWII. I liked both of them a lot and would definitely recommend them to anyone even those who may not usually read much YA lit.

Thanks for the recommendations! The Chosen is an amazing book. I really enjoyed it, too. I haven't read Speak yet, but it's on my to-read list. Thanks for your great comment!
