And now that I'm reading Disavowed, I'm positively intrigued by the Mirror Universe. I might even want to go and read the MU books.
But this aside, what would be the next logical book after Disavowed to keep this thread going? I see that there is a TNG novel "Takedown" and a DS9 story "The Missing". Are they connected to the ongoing story arc? And if so, in what sequence should they be read? (Or is there anything else I should read after S31 Disavowed?)

I'm sorry, but this list is pathetic. It leaves out so much more than it includes. For example, Cox's book (Foul Deeds Will Rise), which is one of our group's books of the month and published last year, (I am enjoying it currently) isn't included. Where are Alan Dean Foster's Logs, etc.? Of the 70 Star Trek books currently on my shelves, I can find only a few on this chart. Sad!

I came across this a while back. Very helpful. Obviously, if you are looking for TOS books you'll have to look elsewhere, but for most other series you'll find it in the graphic as well as how it is connected with other books.

Dan you are right to an extent, the chart is just a suggested flow chart for the modern universe. The guys who created it admit it is not nearly a full spectrum of the Trek Lit verse, just their assessment of the flow of things in recent years (and mostly post-Nemesis).
I also like this site, http://startreklitverse.yolasite.com/ for a more comprehensive look at the various available threads and books (though it is also not complete).

Much more impressive, though not visual with a flow chart. Anyway, thanks. This I can use.

For someone who tries to get to post-Nemesis novels it can be very useful. "Foul Deep Will Arise" is NOT a post-Nem book, and can be easily placed within the movie era. But if someone wants to read what happened to the DS9 crew after the show's end - this should be very handy.

That is very helpful for trying to determine a reading order.
Another reference tool - useful for checking your collection - is comprehensive lists by type of media (episodes, movies, books, comics, audiobooks, etc.), with publishers and titles on Memory Beta. (TOS even listed the Peter Pan records from the late 70s.) There is a dropdown menu for books for each series.
I just finished reading The Fall series, and I wonder what would be the logical next step to read. Would Section 31 Disavowed be the right choice, or is anything else better suited as a logical continuation to the whole story?
