I had a realization that all my horror is from white, male authors. So, I started looking for horror written by women. I love Octavia E. Butler's sci-fi/fantasy so I thought I'd read her "horror" novel about vamps. So far its my least favorite of her novels, but it's still pretty darn good. I'm also going to try to read

Whew Dewey's was a big help! But I did have to veer off of my King only which saddened me. First time in 3 years I've read something (multiple somethings!) other than King in October.
