Ren (renma) It would be better to read TID before reading CoHF so as not to spoil yourself with the trilogy. However, if you don't mind being spoiled then I don't see why not. :)


Kaitlyn {Daughter of Hecate; Shadowhunter} (ktlynm19) | 39 comments I would definitely encourage reading TID before COHF. I think that TID is an AMAZING series and it's my favorite. COHF does spoil some things that happen in TID. Plus, TID is only three books, so it shouldn't take you too long to read and it's certainly worth the read!!

Yes you do. I would have read The Infernal Devices before Fallen Angels, even. But I think you need to read them before Cohf.

sam (sweet_rhapsody) Totally better experience and understanding of the characters if you read TID before COHF. It isn't needed, but definitely recommend it
