I miss my Kindle! I started reading a hard copy and can't believe how difficult it is compared to my Kindle Paperwhite (self illuminated).

I've found myself trying to tap the page. Yep, I'm addicted to my kindle.

Oddly enough, I feel the opposite is true. Of course, my Kindle is for PC and being an editor/author I already spend most of my day looking at a PC screen.

I'm barely getting into the whole kindle app (use it on my phone and PC), but I don't really find it to be that addicting. but then again i'm old school lol gotta have that physical copy

I much prefer it on an actual kindle. The computer tires out my eyes and my phone is too small for me. :)

must now get me a Kindle...lol

The Kindle, especially the Paperwhite models with built in soft light, just are so easy to read. With a print book I have to find sufficient light to read. I instantly missed that convenience.

I still prefer print books, but if I'm reading a huge tome in hardcover at home, I take my Kindle to read on my mass transit work commute.

I lost my sight almost 10 yrs ago & the ability to pick up a book, feel the paper and actually see the text I'm reading is something I dearly miss. however, since I received my kindle about 4 yrs ago I've become a kindle junkie. lol I don't think it ever leaves my side. :-)

I love paper books, but I find them harder on my hands and shoulders than the Kindle. The last paper book I read was a 900 page hardback. I was sore for days.

Hi Michael,
I love printed books! I have found that it is a lot easier to put down an ebook than a printed book. If the story is okay, but full of holes, etc., I'll just move on to something else. But if the thing is in my hand, I'll keep reading. Is that weird?

That's why I love printed books - no charging necessary. But then there's that whole cutting down forests just to feed my simple pleasure thing. It's such a dilemma.

The cutting down the forests thing is the reason why I prefer library books. It minimizes the tree cutting. Although a tree did die for a library book, hundreds of people will potentially read that one copy.

I love the smell of print books, but for some reason I read faster on the Kindle. ~ sabrina

I will hold out for print books as long as I can, though of course I read on-screen as well. I prefer everything about them: touch, smell, sight, sound, okay, maybe not taste ;P

I prefer print books, however, I like my kindle too. I like having access to books ebooks and and I do love having the light option so that when I read in bed all I have to do is close the cover and put my kindle down. Turing off the lamp wakes me back up for some reason! When I travel I bring whatever print book I'm in the middle of and my kindle, I love having all the options.

I do find that I tend to drop the kindle on my face though!

Well, I do read Kindle on mass transit, but I read print (usually library books) at home.

Today I have a long trip on mass transit so I expect to finish the book I'm reading on Kindle and start another one. When I take mass transit, I am often returning a bunch of books to the library or going to the grocery store and expecting to carry heavy bags of groceries. So I don't want to add to the weight by taking a print book to read. Another good thing about Kindle is that I will always have another book to read if I finish one.

I only read print books as well. I just like holding them and seeing them on my bookshelf. I can see the major benefit of a kindle where my entire library is there, cheapier, and saves trees but I don't like it. I'll always buy a printed copy.

I have just got into reading kindle on my mobile which is very dangerous as you run the risk of walking into things or staying up all night reading (while your significant other plus baby in cot sleeps). However, my favorite is the e-ink kindle (not backlit) as it is soft on your eye, like paper, and remembers where you last finished.
