I really feel like I should read one of your books as I have been Goodreads friends with you for so long.


You are such an amazing goodreads member. Writing books, hosting your own GR group and participating in dozens of others, all while having a 'normal' family life. Dang! You must have superpowers :-D

Aww thanks SO MUCH Tammy! That's REALLY nice of you to say :) I'm not sure I have superpowers as all of that stuff you mentioned means I collapse into bed at night LOL! But it's all worth it to be a part of this amazing community and do what I love for a living. I hope you get to read one of my books soon, but no pressure, I understand there are a lot of other awesome books out there and limited time in the day!

I just love that these are in e format so my 19 year old cat can't throw up on it and my kitten won't eat it. All the books I have by David are on my Kindle, so that's awesome.

Also, it is coming close the holidays so I understand the time constraint problems. I just have to make it time sensitive to benefit the authors as well as the reviewers. It is also why I started making Christmas gifts a month ago. To be fair, I have only made two gifts so far, LOL.

I have a question for everyone. How long does a review have to be to be considered a review? I always want to sign up for books to read but I can't write a review to save my life. A few lines usually stating if I liked it or not is what I normally do for a book I've read. I see paragraphs of words by others. What would one consider a proper size review and what does it contain? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. (Can I be directed to where would be good?)

Great question, Sally! From my perspective as an author, I'm more than happy with a few lines. To me, the length of a review is a personal decision by the reviewer based on their read, time constraints, and feelings about the book. I personally would hate to have someone not participate in one of my Read to Reviews (meaning I get one less review!) because they don't have the time to write a lengthy review. Even a few lines can make a world of difference for a book. Others may have different opinions, but that's mine! Hope that helps and you get the chance to participate :)

Thanks for your quick response. I enjoyed reading a few of your other books and will continue to read more. I would like to say "sign me up" but I won't know if I will be able to read the book until next week and would hate to take advantage of a free book without at least a few liners. Normally when I do start a book I can get through them quickly- if it entertains me or nothing else comes up. I look forward to adding my email to the list- as long as its not full.
