Play Book Tag discussion

There is always a risk of reading something that's extremely new and already highly touted. Ratings show this newly released book to have a rating 3.97. This was absolutely not my cup of tea. But I have seen it happen before when I have greatly disliked a book that others have treasure. Recently, I told someone I was disliking the book, and began to describe the basic plot. She said, that my plot description was straight up her alley. See if its straight up yours.

A Cinderella -like figure in Mexico, a young woman living in her grandfather's house, opens an unusual box in her grandfather's bedroom. The box contains bones, which summarily turn themselves into a man. Then the man/god whisks her away and kidnaps her, drawing her into his legend, and attempt to regain power and form. Nope, not my cup of tea.

Oh, so sorry you did not like it! I am half way through and I am really enjoying it! I love the era it is written in, I love Casiopia and her relationship with the god! Pretty sure it will hit at least 4 stars for me. I agree though, unless you are a fan of the fantasy genre it will not sit well in your cup (of tea ;) )

Not my cup of tea either. Sorry you didn't like it and Joanne, I'm glad you do. I probably won't pick this one up though.
