Since I've been spending more time on other hobbies this year, and my reading challenge has become a bit of a stress thing for me, I have decided to lower my goals: 75 books and 30000 pages. I might lower it even more in the end, depending how I feel by the end of December.
I might want to do something about the huge, virtual pile of first-in-series I have, which is getting rather ridiculous. But again, I see how I feel about that in December.

I'm really liking the bingo, so I think I want to do a version of that next year too.
I kinda want to get through some of the books on my "want to read owned", would any of you be up for picking some books for me? Either just random or books you have read and liked or whatever :)
Other than that I haven't really planned anything yet.

I'd love to do a Bingo, however.

With that, I'm not sure what I want to do yet. But it probably won't be any more than this year, quite possibly lower unless I come out of this reading funk.

I do want to still do bingo as well tho, I just find it so fun :D

For example, my "Learn Something Every Day" goal. I'm contemplating including the highlights from that into my challenge thread, even though it's not limited to books - my learning will be from many sources, such as online courses, podcasts, websites, books, magazines, TV shows... everywhere. But I was thinking that maybe I'd include a monthly summary of sorts in my thread, with some of the most interesting, unexpected or just enlightening things from the month.
Thoughts?

Can i just make a new tab in the 2019 setup Dazrin? I feel like it would be too much work to do a new setup just for me, and I'm happy with using the same one :)

I have updated the template to say 2020, the only thing to watch out for is that you don't try to use the same name as 2019.

Perfect! Thank you! <3

When you say 'genre-specific', do you mean a challenge while staying within one specific genre, or a challenge that is meant to cover X number of genres?
For the former, there are quite of few on this 2020 Master List at girlxoxo: https://www.girlxoxo.com/the-master-l... There are probably some of those going on in genre groups here on GR, hopefully someone else can chime in about that. I'm not in very many groups and I'm terrible at keeping up with most of them except for this one and our off-shoot group, Reading Gamers.
For the latter, I'm pretty sure most of us in this group have done at least one of those over the years.
Some of our members have been involved in some pretty creative challenges! For a sampling you can look in the yearly individual challenge discussion folders and randomly click on some past threads. Mine are pretty boring. It seems that as soon as I tell myself I need to read something, I no longer want to read it. I'm a contrarian. LOL
Feel free to start a thread for yourself in the 2020 Individual Challenges folder! Most of us format them with the first handful of posts "reserved" to later enter our challenges info, etc then the rest is a discussion free for all.

Your correct in that I was searching for a challenge that was all within the same genre. My daughter is involved in one on another group, but that particular genre is not my thing. I'm already getting involved in a book bingo challenge that spans a number of genre's and possibly a catch up on the classics challenge. Thank you for the info and the kind welcome.

wordSmiths challenge: read twenty books that have a word in the title from a Smiths song (no repeating songs.) Bonus points for learning part of the song on guitar.

My plan for 2020 is to not plan. I have no idea what’s heading my way. So, I’ll just set the obligatory goal of 12 books and keep my fingers crossed.
(((Hugs to all who accept them)))

I have the same goal. Just to get some reading done. I'm still feeling pretty burned out.
Honestly, I'm also going to try to read a bit more of my groups books...but making no promises there.
