Books and Jams Readalong discussion

How did this book start off for you? Is i more plot driven or character? Any characters stand out to you?

I almost forgot to stop and comment! I am very invested now. It took a chapter or two to get into it, but I'm very intrigued by the mystery. Do you all think Luke did it? Or are you suspicious of someone else? I think Ellie's Dad and the bully cousin Grant or whatever his name is are both very suspicious. I am feeling like Ellie's death and the Hadler deaths are probably connected. I'm just not sure how yet.

I'm pretty sure I'll be done with this by the weekend. I'm finding it very easy to read. Not profound yet, but has a good flow.

I just started this one today on Scribd since it’s available there and I am up to Chapter 5. Very intriguing so far! I think I’m really going to like this one.

It is very interesting. Too soon to tell who killed Ellie. And there's Jamie, too.

I would say it started out character driven.

I am loving this book so far, it is a great mystery and I think it would also make a great movie or miniseries. I think it is more character than plot-driven since a lot of the action past and present is centred around Aaron's relationship with the other characters. So far, I do not suspect Luke, but I have to say some of Karen's choices are a bit suspicious. Of course, it was not her since she ended up murdered, but I think she had some connection to the killer. I am also looking forward to more development of Aaron himself as a character, especially his friendships with Luke and Ellie. Where does Gretchen fit into all this? Anyhow, this is a great story, and I think I will speed through it.

Just started chapter 13! Really good so far. I’m not sure where things are headed but it’s keeping my interest! Very character driven so far

I agree with Krista that it took a chapter or two to get into, but now I’m hooked. We are getting so much information that I have no clue what to think/who to suspect. I really don’t want to believe that Luke did it though! Charlotte being left alive is very intriguing because it doesn’t make sense.

I just started the book last night. I think I am really going to like it. It is an easy read.

Just started chapter 15. Really enjoying the book but am suspecting everyone! Jane Harper writes really well!
