Angie (pinkindle) | 828 comments Just finished! That was super fun and weird once it picked up. My theory was super wrong, but I was right about

Veronica (veronica_mitchell) | 55 comments Just finished. I feel it was a solid 3 star read. I liked the murder/mystery aspect, but was hoping for a little more scary.

Amy | 237 comments I just finished. I'm afraid to say I wasn't a huge fan in the end. I got bored about half way through. I think I might just not be a horror fan or maybe I would like it more if I had read the original. Not sure.

Melanie | 1911 comments The ending was kind of twisty and kept shifting gears. I was surprised to learn Henry was part monster, but I probably should not have been. This part strayed the most from the original Frankenstein too, so some of my assumptions were because of that.
Elizabeth's character softens towards the end as well.

In the end, it was good, but not a great, book. I give it 3.5 stars.

Diane | 1234 comments I liked how the end made me wonder if in fact Elizabeth died (drown) and she was reanimated. She seemed to have died but then suddenly awakes in a room with a bright light? Mary was standing over her and she was fascinated with Frankenstein's work. I think Mary also loved Elizabeth and didn't want to lose her ( not exactly why I think that but there was some kind of attraction there) The twist is that Elizabeth killed Victor because he wanted to do just that and she did not want that. She was willing to sacrifice her life to prevent it from happening and then BAM! she is brought back. I wish we knew a little more about Mary and her development for the fascination of Victors work. Overall I liked this book and am glad we read it here.
