Tick Tock has been selected as The Koontzland - Dean Koontz November Group Read. This title was last featured five years ago in November 2014.

From the book cover:

Thirty-year-old detective novelist Tommy Phan has just become the proud owner of a bright aqua Corvette. But as he drives his new purchase home on a balmy California day, he is suddenly seized by a teeth-chattering chill and the feeling that he is being followed by something sinister. When Tommy arrives home, a mysterious rag doll - with crossed stitches for eyes and mouth, and one over its heart - is sitting on his doorstep.

Tommy takes the doll inside. That evening, he is horrified when its fabric rips open . . . . .

To find out what happens next, read TICK TOCK with us in November :-)

I've been behind on the group reads this year, so I decided to get a head start with TICK TOCK.

Emily Ownby (emilyownby) | 5 comments I normally only read a book once but I remember this as being one of my favorites. I may just have to give this one a second read.

Susan Beamon (susanbeamon) | 71 comments Finished the book. There was an afterword in the copy I read that kind of explains the way this book went. According to the afterword, this is supposed to be a mashup of a standard horror story and a screwball comedy. That needs thinking about.
