Michael Stewart (michaelfstewart) | 7 comments I don't know if anyone here cross posts from Kindleboards but I'd be happy to try to keep up to date of on cheap books. Say, anything under 2$ or $5?

I start with 2$ and will focus on new stuff.

Bitten and Smitten for $1.99.

Georgia Evans' trilogy (which perhaps qualifies) about vampires during WWII is now priced at $4.47 a book: Bloody Good, Bloody Awful, and Bloody Right.

Donald Westlake's The Hook is 1.99.

The Takers: Book One of the Oz Chronicles
by R.W. Ridley is currently 99 cents.

Devices and Desires is this month's $1 book from Orbit.

Storm Track, 1.99

Death before Dying, 1.99

Secret Santion, 1.99 (and evidently if you currently buy this you get a free copy of [Mortal Allies:], a $6.39 Kindlebook by the same author)

If anyone else has a cheap Kindlebook please post!

Michael Stewart (michaelfstewart) | 7 comments Catherine, do they know this over at Kindleboards.com? You should post it in the bazaar section. Great people there too. And many of them looking for cheap reads!

message 4: by Catherine (new)

Catherine Thanks, Michael, for reminding me. I posted it at Kindleboards and lots of other places early in 2009, but it's probably time to post it again.

K.L. Brady (karlab27) | 7 comments Hello All,

Just wanted to let you all know I'm offering my debut novel, The Bum Magnet, The Bum Magnet, is on Kindle for $1.99 until October 31st. If you like chick lit/romantic comedy-type novels, you love it. I just changed the price so the new price should show up within 24 hours (according to Amazon).

Please check it out and leave a review if you like it. Thanks!

Michael Stewart (michaelfstewart) | 7 comments Cool, KL, I think 1.99 is a great price point. Personally, I'm sort of indifferent between 1.00 and 2.50. Everyone likely has there own ranges, but that's mine.

MFS, author of 24 Bones

Lewis Faulkner (lef3) Hi--

I'm kind of new here. Is there another thread where authors have discussed the price of their Kindle novels, the price, and how that is working for them, or is this where we'd discuss that?

I'd like to get some pros/cons.

Thanks

Robert | 58 comments Just dropping in to let you guys know that the first Luthiel's Song novel is available for .99 cents on Kindle. Here's a brief synopsis and link:

First Summer’s Eve has come and all elves celebrate as the black moon’s shadow fades from the world. It is also Luthiel’s fifteenth birthday. With it come two extraordinary and dangerous surprises: a Wyrd Stone, its silvery heart a window into a world of dreams and nightmares, and a Blade Dancer, dreaded protector of the Faelands, who bears a dark message. Instead of celebration, Luthiel is given a terrible choice: if she does nothing, someone she loves deeply will die. Or, to save a life, she can break the most perilous law of the Faelands, and venture alone to the Vale of Mists. If she chooses the journey, she must race Othalas— eldest and most feared of all the werewolves—past great black spiders who weave webs out of nightmares, through glittering mists with the power to reshape flesh, and at last into death by the teeth of the dark and ancient Vyrl, who feed on the blood of elves. Either choice will bring death—unless Luthiel can find the secret in her remarkable Stone, a secret that even the nightmares fear.

If you do get a hold of one, please let me know. I'd love to hear what you thought. Warmest regards --Rob.

P.S. If you enjoyed the first, the second ( http://www.amazon.com/Luthiels-Song-W... ) is also available for 99 cents.

Rachel Stefano (CandyPanda) | 8 comments The Synthesis (Powerless, #1) by Jason Letts I've been having a wonderful time with this young adult fantasy story I found for just 99c!

Mira Ipswich is the most endearing character, and the plot is beautifully constructed and a complete twist on so many things in the young-adult genre. Everything is woven together, and it's impossible to put the book down. It kind of has that Hunger Games pace and intensity to it. Kind of makes me feel like I need to go out for a jog...which is shocking for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun little mystery., January 4, 2011
By Dawn Judd (Kansas) - See all my reviewsThis review is from: The Crimson-Eyed Dragon (Kindle Edition)
My first read for 2011. I had the honor of hosting this book for Kindle Kisses a while back, so I thought I better go ahead and read it myself. So glad I did. This was a really fun book. It kind of reminded me of The Hardy Boys or Encyclopedia Brown, with a fun mystery, and a cast of curious young adults. The plot was well thought out and the whole book was entertaining. I think it would be a great book for all ages. I'm interested in seeing if Ms. Trink decides to turn this into a series. I think it would do really well.(less)"
