Who will be reading Janny Wurts's book To Ride Hell’s Chasm?
What are your initial impressions?
Spoiler free, please.

Martha (tilla) | 194 comments I doubt I will. Haven't even found it in the library and until I've read more of her work (couldn't get through the first one), I don't want to buy it

This is probably a good introduction to Janny's books, as it is a stand alone. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Bev (greenginger) | 744 comments I love Janny Wurts books. You may be able to get a cheap second hand copy Martha.

Charles (charliewhip) | 223 comments I will definitely be rereading Hell's Chasm. First impression is it starts off at a full run and just keeps getting faster. Lots and lots of intrigue, mystery, and action in this one as well as Wurts' signature deep and sharp characterization. There are no slow parts, no drag, yet Wurts manages to etch her characters with a fine stylus in just a few words. A really great, rollicking tale.

Amazon usually has used copies very cheap. Unlike Mistwraith, there is very little set-up in Hell's Chasm, as Wurts is not laying the groundwork for a giant series.

Jon (jonmoss) | 529 comments This is one of my all-time favorite books. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. I've got two editions of this in trade paperback but I need an excuse (not much of one) to add it to my ebook collection. :)

Lina Al-Midfa | 81 comments Can't believe I don't have anything for Janny Wurts on my "to read" list.
Best thing about being in this group, you learn something new everyday.

Lina, you are in for a treat. I read this some years ago, it was excellent.
