Wouldn't you get a little upset, too, if the authorities broke into your house in the middle of the night to force some personal growth down your throat?

Of course I would. I imagine I'd react just as Martin did, although I'd have kept the dog. Personal growth should be a personal choice.

I would've flipped out if this happened to me, probably much in the same way as Martin. The scary part is with all the self-help books and self-help "reality" shows on every network, I'm nervous as to how close our society will actually get to something like what Martin goes through.
