ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I'm really curious to know what everyone voted for in "Goodreads Choice Awards 2014". Where you happy with the choices ? The books that you voted for in the first round , did they make it to this round ?

I go first

Fiction : Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen
Mystery and thriller : Festive in Death (In Death, #39) by J.D. Robb
Fantasy : Murder of Crows (The Others, #2) by Anne Bishop
Romance : Transcendence by Shay Savage
YA Fantasy & Si-fi : Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
Middle grade children : The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus, #5) by Rick Riordan

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I hadn't read like hardly any of the books in there, but I did vote for a couple.

Mystery - The Silkworm (Cormoran Strike, #2) by Robert Galbraith

Romance - Romancing the Duke (Castles Ever After, #1) by Tessa Dare

SciFi - Sand Omnibus (Sand, #1-5) by Hugh Howey (I confess that I haven't yet read it, but I read the author's other work, Wool Omnibus Edition (Silo, #1; Wool, #1-5) by Hugh Howey and loved it, and this one's on my wishlist, so I voted for it)

Graphic Novels - Locke & Key, Volume 6 Alpha & Omega (Locke & Key #6) by Joe Hill (again, haven't read it, but I've adored everything I've read by the author, and I trust it'll be great, so I voted for it)

YA Fantasy & SciFi - Hollow City (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #2) by Ransom Riggs

My only gripe is I really freakin' wish they'd split romance into two categories for contemporary and historical. The only HR on there was the Tessa Dare, the rest were ones I had absolutely no interest in whatsoever.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I voted for The Silkworm (Cormoran Strike, #2) by Robert Galbraith and Murder of Crows (The Others, #2) by Anne Bishop . I also voted for Romancing the Duke (Castles Ever After, #1) by Tessa Dare - I don't think it is the very best Romance I read this read, although it was very, very good. I just didn't think my "write-in" vote would do any good.

I didn't think either so I just voted for whatever was there ! But apparently more than a few "write-in" books have made it to the second round !

Lauren (laurenjberman) I also voted for Murder of Crows (The Others, #2) by Anne Bishop and Romancing the Duke (Castles Ever After, #1) by Tessa Dare (after my write in vote for Bitter Spirits (Roaring Twenties, #1) by Jenn Bennett got nowhere)
